Microdermabrasion/Skin Needling Post Treatment Information

Microdermabrasion stimulates cell renewal by buffing away the tired and dull-looking surface layers of skin. To achieve optimal results, you need to follow the aftercare instructions we provide. The following microdermabrasion aftercare tips help protect your skin and speed up the healing process for smoother, healthier skin.

After a Dermapen4 procedure, erythema similar to the appearance and sensation of mild sunburn is an indication of successful treatment. The puncture channels typically constrict within 7 to 15 minutes, in that timeframe please refrain from smoking or vaping. Pinpoint bleeding can be expected, and it’s very minimal in most cases. Some patients may experience minor itching or swelling, following a Dermapen clinical procedure. During the skin, healing process, erythema, tightness or mild peeling may appear.

Please avoid the following for the next three days post treatment:

• Exfoliation, Vitamin A/Retinol, Salicylic Acid or other active ingredients
• Direct sun exposure, sun beds, or solariums
• Spray or self tanning
• Saunas or steam rooms
• Swimming in chlorinated pools or the ocean
• Cosmetic tattooing
• Skin needling, laser, IPL, chemical peels or injectables
• Intensive cardio
